Our Team

WhatsApp was founded by Jan Koum and Brian Acton, who worked together at Yahoo for a combined twenty years. WhatsApp joined Facebook in 2014 but continues to operate as an independent app, focusing on building a fast and reliable messaging service for everyone in the world.
